Today is a new day! I woke up this morning on the right side of the bed, literally. I am thinking that being around good friends and a killer swim workout last night helped get me out of my funk. Yesterdays post was a Debbie Downer for sure. That’s what is so great about being a blogger, you can blog about whatever the heck you want to.
Thanks to all the readers who read 2chickschallenge and leave encouraging comments, text or email me personally with encouragement. All of you have helped me through the last few weeks.
Lets start back at yesterday afternoon when my attitude started to turn sunny. Shall we?
The gym I go to is now offering a new swim class on Monday afternoons. It is called Swim Fit. The class is designed for those who want to become better swimmers, but do not want to take private swim lessons. Two of my running buddies have started attending the class as well, so we have a mini chat session during class and mess around between sets, but by the end of the hour class my arms are burning and my skin is prune. At yesterdays class the instructor tried to teach us how to do a flip turn even. My flip turns need some major practice. I still miss the wall by about 6 inches even flip and I haven’t managed not to drink my weight in water during the process.
After swimming for an hour plus I was ready for some din din. Last night was Healthy Dinner Night on the road last night (typically we meet at each others house) and we went to Wild Chef. There is nothing better than fresh sushi (as fresh as you can get in Michigan) and some good teriyaki. It is always so fun to be with girlfriends, eating good food and enjoying the night together.
Today I have woken up feeling more like myself. I got up early so I got to do some hurtful form rolling, drink lots of coffee and relax before beginning my day. Today is a good day!
