June 1 = Summer Is Here!

In my head June 1 means it is officially summer! In Michigan we get 9 months of winter and 3 months of summer, so you have to take advantage of every day. We have been blessed with a mild spring, but still it is not till June 1 that I am like “yippy” it is summer!

This summer is going to be super busy, but I am really excited about everything that is planned and I would not have booked my summer full of things that I do not want to do.

There are a few things that I have on a “summer bucket list” that I would like to do this summer. Some of the items on the “summer bucket list” I have done before and some are new adventures.

Here we go;

  1. Complete a sprint triathlon
  2. Do a century bike ride with my dad (I am hoping he says “yes” to this)
  3. Convince Amy-Lynn that the two of us should go canoeing is a good idea
  4. Run a 5k race (I have only ran one 5k race in my life and it was over 4 years ago)

    I thought I was going to die after my first 5k. If someone would have told me I would one day run a marathon I would have laughed in their face.

  5. Run a 10k race ( I jumped from no running to running a 25k and a marathon in one year. Stupid idea, I do not suggest this route.)
  6. Go camping at least twice (I am going next weekend for sure)
  7. Go on a boat ride (Friends with boats please call me. I promise I will bring food and drinks to share.)

    I am really good at sitting on boats soaking up the sun

  8. Go fishing at least once (Hopefully I will catch some fish. I am really good at just going on the boat and sitting there, but this year I actually want to try the fishing part.)

    This is the last time I went fishing and all I did was sit there. I must improve my fishing skills this summer.

Cheers to Summer!

What is on your “summer bucket list”?
