Just finished The Wednesday Wars by local west Michigan author Gary Schmidt. Holling Hoodhood is the only Presbyterian in his 7th grad class. Yet another reason for his teacher, Mrs. Baker to hate him. Thus begins another years at Long Island’s Camillo Jr. High. Set in 1968, this book will make you laugh out loud and cry with it’s wity Shakespearian banter and timeless themes.
